Not much to post but I thought I would write a little something.
Emma is trying to go to sleep right now, but there is no guarentees. Her schedule is changing from two good naps to one. I think she's tired but she refuses to nap so I keep her up, she later takes a nap and that does it till night time. Its okay, just wish we were more scheduled - hehe, never thought I would hear myself say that.
Ryan continues to be busy. He's trying so hard to keep on things, school, job, paying rent, spending time with his wife and little girl as much as he can. I feel for him right now. He's been away most days and most evenings, due to school events or his job. My days get long and I sure miss him when he hasn't been around a few days. He's got such a kind heart, wanting to please everyone. This job searching isn't fun,I think Ryan could be really good at what ever job he gets, but he's not sure which one he will REALLY like. Its a hard decision, you can pray for us in this area.
We are taking a trip the day after school is done. We are going to San Diego. We have been saving to go on a "celebration/graduation" trip since he's started school and we were hoping to go to Hawaii but that didn't work out, so San Diego here we come!! It still will be fun. Emma will be staying with her grandma for the week, so that will be nice. We will celebrate Christmas with the Dunham's over New Years as in the past, but we'll have our own celebrating Christmas Day (hehe if you know what I mean :) )
On the weekend we were invited out to dinner to meet a family trying to raise support for their calling (for lack of better terminology). It was neat to hear their testimony and hear how God has called them to share the gospel (through music) to highschool and College age kids. They are on staff at Keynote - through Campus Crusade for Christ. Anyone heard of it? It was good to hear their hearts. What a ministry there is in that area, and I'm glad that they feel called, because I know that I would be terribly intimidated. So blessings to them!
Anyhoo, just stopped in to say greetings. Had a great time in Red Lake and it was fun to see some good ol' friends!!

Wow what a trip!

Last week went to Red Lake. We left Sunday night and got there around 11pm it was fun to surprise everyone (they were expecting us Monday) . When we got there we crept into the house and I stuck Emma in the kitchen, she just woke up from a nap so she just stood there, it was cute. Derek was facing the kitchen but he was wasn't focussing on Emma so it took a few second before it clicked that she was standing there and then he jumped up and it made everyone else look. It was fun to see their shock.
The rest of the week went by like a blurrrr!! Monday we enjoyed Thanksgiving with my family, it was sooo good to be home. Tuesday we threw Elise and Scotty a baby shower, that went okay I guess. Its been a while since I threw something for someone else, I felt a bit out of practice. It was good to see Iris, Jenni, Wendy and Kendra, sure wished I could have visited some with each of them. Wednesday afternoon we went to Miller's to Visit Linda and the boys. I always enjoy hanging out there and watching the kids play. We went from there to Nisly's to visit Rhonda and the girls. It was fun to see them and meet them a little better. It was snowing so the girls played outside, Rhonda and I were able to get some visiting in, that was nice. Matthew made it home about 20 minutes before we left at least we got to say hello. Thursday was our last visiting day and we were able to go to see Becky and her chiln's. Before we went visitng we stopped in at Jeff and Wendy's new place, I got a quick tour, it was really nice to see their progress. Elise and little scotty came with and that was nice to be together, share some stories, and laugh alittle. Most of the evenings we stayed home and Emma had a nice visit with her gookum (grandma) and grandpa Mike. Emma also like to visit with Great-grandpa, she would go into his room, close the door and then you could hear her talking very loudly to him, it was cute, but we had to rescue him some times. She would hold her arms out to him for him to pick her up and she would just sit soo nicely in his lap, what a sweetheart!! I brought my mother-in-law Becky along she was a big help not only to me and Emma but everyone we visited. I was very glad she came along. We got a couple good scrabble games in that is always fun. The weather was a big shocker and I'm glad that I came prepared for whatever weather. It was colllldddd!!! Snowing and felt like and looked like winter. Yuck.
We left Friday morning, and made it to Kenora, we went to HO-HO's for lunch (very good Chinese Food) and tried to keep going. When we got out west of Kenora we realized that the highway going west was closed due to a 3 semi pile up. So we had to decide what to do, we ended up staying at a hotel for the night. That night we even got a visit in with Debbie Ropp, that was really nice. The next morning was beautiful, and we had a nice travel home. Ryan is finished with driving beet truck, so it was nice to have him home when we got here. It was a really special week, my little nephew is sooo cute, how special it was to hold him and see him.
On two different days there we realized that Emma had gotten two more teeth, we are up to 9 now.
This week looks like a alot of laundry and unpacking, sound like fun?? Anyone want to come and visit? I'd love for you to drop in for some coffee :) Maybe some day :)

Busy!
This week is gone! Thank goodness! Ryan started Beet season last week, so he works through the night until 4am, and then wakes up to go to school at 9am. That isn't alot of sleep for my poor husband. So...yesterday I took it up myself to help him out - hehe, I shut off his alarm, well actually I didn't shut it off I just turned down the volume...alot. I'm glad he slept then till noon, and that was exactly what he needed. I'll be glad when beet season is over, he has another week to go. At least the beet pilers get closed down due to warm weather so he has been able to catch up on a few zzz's the last few days. Oh ya by the way "beet" season means sugar beets. It is a very big crop that needs to come off in two to three weeks (at the most) and hulled to a beet pile. Then the beets are hulled to the sugar company in either Crookston or Grand Forks. Its a big process around here, the roads get messy (full of mud), beets are on the road (in town anyway), and trucks are moving around the clock. Its kind of an exciting time of year. Also the truck drivers make really good money, that's why Ryan is doing it. I have to keep reminding myself of that:)
Emma and I are planning to go to Red Lake next week, so hope I can visit a few people while I"m there. My mother-in-law Becky is coming with me, she's looking forward to the drive up there, and maybe get alittle visiting in with some of the people that she's gotten to know there too. It should be fun. I get to finally meet this little nephew of mine. I can't wait!! He looks so cute on those pictures!
Today I had my second Dr's appointment, I finally got to hear our little one's heartbeat! How exciting, awww so cute already!!
Last week we also made our Christmas travel arrangements. Ryan and I are spending Christmas together in San Diego CA. We've been saving up for a graduation trip, and we're excited to go. Emma will stay with Grandma Becky (and get potty trained - hehe, just joking, its been our joke) Anyone else been there?? Any tips of where to visit, we're up for anything :) We are staying close to the beach so that will be fun. I can't wait :)
Well thanks for stopping in. HI to my friend Glenda, Iris, Rhonda, Jenni, Rachel, and whoever else reads this. I read all of your websites pretty regularily (almost everyday :) ) so if your wondering if someones reading it, I do, I'm just not very good at signing everyone's page, sorry, must work on that. Iris I thought I had read your site once I remember the pictures. Sure I would like to read what all your tribe has been up too. THanks everyone for the updates, it makes me feel a little closer to home, I really appreciate it!
